Today I’m joined by Gary Walters, President and Box-Office Manager of Theatre Coppell. Gary talks about his background, taking non-profit, community theatres into the 21st century, some of the challenges of heading up Theatre Coppell, including his roles as President and Box-Office Manager.
Gary also talks about community theatre’s place in the 21st century, the process of determining the shows in a season, especially within the constraints of a thrust stage, the possibility of setting up internships at Theatre Coppell for aspiring young theatre artists.
The two remaining show in Theatre Coppell’s 2007-2008 will be the comedy Funny Money (April 11 - 27, 2008) and the classic musical Cabaret (July 11 - 27, 2008). For more information, please visit their website at www.TheatreCoppell.com. If you would like to discuss the possibility of internships at Theatre Coppell, please call Gary at (972) 745-7719.
