Garland Civic Theatre held its annual meeting on March 18, 2008 at the Granville Arts Center, 300 North 5th Street, in Garland. The evening began with Hors d’oeuvres at 7:00 PM. At the Annual Membership meeting that followed, five board members, Janet Black, Michael Black, Jean Holmes, Celeste Rogers, and Irene Satterwhite, were reelected; Tena Barkley, Clint Barkley, Chris Kimber, Peggy Jones, Estella Muniz, Diana O’Hearn, Phyllis Rhodes, Dan Tillman, and Denise Valle were chosen as new board members. All were elected to serve two year terms. Officers for the year beginning April 1, 2008 were also elected. Serving as President will be Jean Holmes, Vice President will be Jennifer Phillips, Secretary will be Dale Martin, Treasurer will be Celeste Rogers, Assistant Treasurer will be Dan Tillman, and Historian will be Tena Barkley. Betty Kirschner will serve as Immediate Past President. Each board member was asked to serve on at least two committees for the coming year.
