Spring has sprung for DCT’s Theatre School and classes begin this Saturday, March 29th! Get registered by calling the Box Office 940-382-1915 or stopping by the Campus Theatre this week. When calling this week, you will probably need to leave a voice message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. The Imagination Station
Ages 4 - 6
Saturday Morning 9 am – 10:15 am

Course Description: This course is designed to introduce younger children to the world of theatre. Students will begin with what they know from their environment and personal experiences, and, through imitation and recreation, progress from dramatic play to creative drama.
THE ADVENTURES OF HARRY POTTER
Ages 7 – 11
Saturday Morning 10:30 am to 1 pm
Tuition $215
Course Description: This course is designed as a storytelling and scene building class. It will introduce the young artist to the aspect of taking a written story and bringing it to life through creative improvisation and characterization study. Students will recognize important dramatic and literary concepts, become familiar with different dialects from different regions of the United Kingdom, and learn to draw parallels between Harry Potter’s adventures and real life. Short scenarios will be developed by the students for SHOWCASE presentation.
CRAFTING YOUR COMIC TECHNIQUE
Ages 12-18
Saturday Morning 10 am to 1 pm
Tuition $215
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This class is designed for young actors who are seriously interested in developing their talents within the world of Theatre. Students will explore the causes of laughter and the techniques required for playing humorous characters/scenes on stage. Both classical and contemporary comedy scripts will be approached by the students enrolled in this study. PARENTS: Students enrolled in this class should be prepared to find time, out side of class, to read scripts, memorize dialogue and observe comic artists through film. This preparation is mandatory for their progression within the craft of comedy.
